Waning

You kiss like
Wingbeats
From a perforated butterfly
Pollen and dust
On your tongue
Impregnating the flower
Of someone else’s mouth.
You are a seasonal attraction
Withered by winter
And I’m waiting for the necessary spring
To return to your step.
