The Killer of Kakariko Village
Sometimes I wonder
what Link does
with the fairy.
Sure, near death,
all the iterations of
his heart bled out,
a dose of fairy healing
is tempting, necessary,
in fact: Link's an
important man, of course,
so what's one little
insignificant fairy to that?
I wonder if he hums to himself,
that ocarina song, maybe,
to drown out the sudden
crunch!
the choked off yelp,
before continuing
on his merry way.
Do you think,
nearing Ganon's lair,
he pauses to pick,
distractedly, at
stubborn bits stuck
between his teeth?
Power, Wisdom, Courage...
too bad there's no
Triforce of Remorse.
