The Book and The Street

The book says to the street,
I am smarter than you:
My academia surpasses your
Idiosyncratic methodology:
In fact,
Ample meditation on my disciplines
Precludes from necessity
Your meager knacks.

The street says to the book,
Say that to my face.
I’ve got a crowbar that will make
Your academia cry.
