Yanomamo women
Drink the bones of their
Broken husbands,
An osteomemorial,
A final body-body fusion
Sex-hunger copulation
He will live on.
There is no birth and no cessation.
Funny that some are disturbed by it. I found the idea somewhat comforting. I can understand how performing a rite like this could help take some of the edge off of their grief.
Last desperate act of a mournful woman, or the forced practices of her society? I guess either way they will be together for a little while longer. Like using the ink comprised of a loved one ashes.

Interesting idea, making cultural preferences of other races known via poetry.
I rather like it, as well as the word osteomemorial. It's fun how you point out that it's merely another way of joining their bodies.
A fascinating and fun piece.
