Bone Fragments

Synopsis
Bone Fragments is a thematic poetry collection of 44 poems chronicling the past 150 years of war, beginning with the American Civil War and climbing through the years to touch on conflicts such as the Russo-Japanese War, both World Wars, Korea, Vietnam, and the current Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. The predominant voice is that of the common infantry soldier, although I've tried to also incorporate the voices of others affected by war: the wives and sisters left behind, the civilians caught in the crossfire, the war correspondent photographer.

Seventeen of the poems have already been published on this site, including works like Beautiful Like..., Stick-Breaker and the Hare, and Dog Tags, although some of them have been edited and revised for their incarnation in Bone Fragments.
