3 Poetry Links I Want To Share

It's been a long day, and between a long car ride, a doctor's visit, and some technical difficulties, I wasn't able to get the time to write a proper blog post today. That said, I wanted to share a few links I've found interesting recently:

  • Joshua Gray linked me to a Facebook note he wrote recently titled The Publisher's Dilemma. It's an interesting look at the term "previously-published" and what it means for poets publishing in the online world. You don't have to 'like' Joshua's page to read the note, but you do if you'd like to leave a comment.
  • A poem by Jeremy Lespi was published recently in the literary journal, Elimae. "Uniform" is a beautiful poem. "Uniform" was submitted to the journal posthumously by a friend -- Jeremy passed away in December 2007. While I never met Jeremy personally, he was a close friend of one of my co-workers, and the university offers a fellowship in his honor.
  • The article dates from June 2010, so it's a little old, but I enjoyed reading What is the future of poetry? by Stephen Moss. In particular, there's a paragraph where poet Don Paterson is quoted as saying "If you burned every poem on the planet and you wiped every poem from every human mind, you would have poetry again by tomorrow afternoon." It's a line that really sticks out at me.

Do you have any other poetry-related links you'd like to share? Feel free to leave a few links in the comments.
